[Reposting as I negligently let it lapse]

Hello All,

I'm selling my Terry McGee Keyless pratten flute in 'D'. It's a lovely instrument, but it doesn't get as much love these days as my keyed Murray. Thus, I'm selling to fund other instruments. :D

It's the short-foot version (standard for McGee keyless) and I'm asking $850 for it.

There's currently no case. I've made due with a soft towel.

No damage, cracks, or blemishes to speak of, though the harsh Wisconsin winters caused a wee bit of contraction and a couple of the rings are loose. Shouldn't be a problem, McGee flutes are famously resistant to environmentally induced damage. Just be careful you don't lose them in dry conditions.

I'll be at the St. Louis TionĂ³l this weekend and I'll bring it with me if anyone wants to try it there.

Sound samples and pictures to follow.

Previous owner thought that perhaps there was a blemish here from a previous repair; I don't think so (if anything a small nick), but you be the judge

And without further ado.... A quick video attempting to showcase the tonal quality of the instrument. Please forgive the super sloppy playing...

Bump. Still available. Again, the only reason I'm selling is that I won't play it enough, so let me know if there's any further questions!

Bump again.

The rings issue has been solved by gradually re-introducing the flute to a more humid (50-60%) environment and keeping it there. They may still loosen a bit in transit, but I recommend keeping the flute in an airtight container with a dampit or moist sponge to maintain humidity if you hail from a drier clime (which is the same general advice I give regarding all wooden flutes).
