Tell us something.: Hi, I play 5-string banjo, mountain dulcimer, bones, and am now a beginner pennywhistler. I have some Dixon, Freeman, and Susato whistles. This is obviously the most extensive forum for information in whistle learning- thanks!

Shaw Tinwhistle, key of C. "Made of solid nickel silver with a hardwood block. Not to be confused with whistles that are made with a cylindrical tube and a plastic fipple, these whistles are made of solid construction with a true conical bore."

This Shaw whistle is beautiful warm glowing nickel silver and I played it for less than an hour. Mint condition, I bought it new. I have less than normal breath capacity and this whistle takes a bit too much air pressure for me. It has a lovely airy and textured tone by design, but I needed something very easy to blow for a beginner.
(I paid almost $41 with the shipping. These same Shaw C whistles are now selling typically for more.)
