There once was a lad from Columbus,
Who made the world's worst batch of hummus.
Said he, all red faced,
"It isn't the taste,
But the fumes that'll soon overcome us."

My love cried out, "Hey, where's the hummus?
Did somebody burgle it from us?"
My sheepish reply
Was, "I cannot lie;
It's sitting right here in my tummus."



"Hummus" ain't the easiest word to find rhymes for, you know.

It absolutely is not.

Nice one.

I was hankering for a heap o' fine hummus
To settle a cantankerous stomach
But first I consumed
My hot plate of legumes
And then my whistle clogged up with detritus
