Patrick D'Arcy reports:
Please keep an eye open for Tim Foley's Martin Preshaw half set [of uilleann pipes] which was stolen from his car last night (Sunday, 7 September) in La Jolla, just north of San Diego.
Tim Foley has provided the following description:
It was a set of pipes made from Blackwood with brass fittings and boxwood mounts. The Chanter is blackwood with brass fittings and two keys (C natural and F Natural). The bag is black leather, I had removed the standard green velvet covering. There were no major distinctive markings other than a very small Preshaw mark on the chanter. The case was kind of beat up, but was a black hard shell flight case.
Along with the pipes was a brass Michael Burke tunable tin whistle in D and a silver nonunable Chieftan low whistle in D
