overtone flutes and fujara

Post by denwenz »

Overtone flutes and fujaras are certainly interesting instruments. I would love to learn how to play one of these instruments. Here is a link to a You Tube video where a European maker describes how to play an overtone flute:

I am looking for recommendations on where to purchase overtone flutes. I do see there are many European makers of these flutes, but wanted to purchase from someone from whom you may have had a positive experience.

Tell us something.: I'm here because I just wanted to change my location... but it turns out much more complicated than I thought. Do I already have the 100 required characters?

I can recommend Milan Koristek http://www.fujera.sk/fujera---the-slova ... s.506.html
and also Drahos Dalos http://www.fujaradd.sk/.
Both makers craft instruments of highest quality and precise tuning.

I had great experience with flutes made by Marek Gonda http://english.fujarka.cz/index.php
I own four of his instruments: a koncovka (an overtone flute), and three 6-finger hole flutes in various keys. All instruments are of exceptional quality, and aesthetically pleasing.
