Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

If I may revive/hijack the thread for a moment, any thoughts on these?
... I ordered one, unfortunately the fitted reed appeared to have got damaged in transit. A second reed was quickly supplied, but I couldn't get that one to work properly either, so I gave up and posted it all back :sniffle: :waah:

The instrument itself seemed to be well made, the component parts fitted nicely together, but for whatever reason I just couldn't get a sound out of it for anything more than a few bars before it simply stopped playing! I then had to wait for it to "cool down" or "dry off" or whatever before it'd play again :-?

On the plus side, the refund was immediate :)
