Fingering Chart question

Post by Zabava77 »

Would a fingering chart for a recorder work for this 8-hole flute?

The fingerholes are all the same size. No chance.

It might be vaguely similar to a German-fingering recorder, but you'll just have to experiment.

According to the site they are supposedly a stand-in for the classic recorder and have the same fingering, but I doubt that's entirely true. As Jack mentioned, looking at the hole size and spacing they might be somewhat close, but there are sure to be differences. I don't think there's any problem that couldn't be solved with a little trial and error, but I doubt you could go directly from a recorder chart.
The crwth will set you free!

Thank you both! I will just have to experiment with it when I get it.
