Nice firm, confident line, good use of shading.

The hands are not right. They're very good, and close to the real thing. Hands are difficult. Even experienced draughtsmen have trouble with hands, and that is a particularly difficult angle at which to sketch a hand.

Was this from life, or from memory? My guess would be from memory...

I recommend a bit of life-drawing. What you have there is good. You could be great.

Yeah, hands are soooooo hard, and feet.

Yes you are correct, I did this from memory.

The only problem I have with life drawing is that people never want to stay still! typical. lol. :D

That's the point. The intention is to get to make a representation quickly and accurately. It takes practice.

Fingers are the hallmark of a good artist!

This year I managed stick men (and women - for gender differentiation) as well as small stickmen (to represent children).

Haven't reached anything as sophisticated as yours - featuring blades of hair and finer detail.

I need a camera with proper film emulsion to render life:)

Here's a facial study I did from life... Really cute kid. Has such an elfish looking face.. :)
I did it sometime in January I think. Didn't spend much time on shading it. Guess I got lazy.
