I am trying to identify a flute. It was given to me 22 years ago. I played whistle then and now and the person who gave it to me assumed I played flute. So it pretty much is unplayed and just sitting there.
It is a one piece flute made of well figured mesquite. Side embrochure with the following dimensions: 18 1/8 " long with about a 3/4" bore and a wall thickness of 1/8". It is keyless and has seven finger holes and a thumb hole. I believe it is an alto G.
I was told that the maker lives in Texas and is known for mesquite flutes. Of course I have searched. That's all I know. I could email some pics if my description rings a bell. Thank you.

This page describes a lot of different kinds of flutes. Perhaps it is of the type called a Bansori.
