Anyone know what this is?

Someone gave this to me today and it seems very old and blows in tune. It is not a trinket but a well made instrument. I would love to learn more about it and maybe a tune on it. Thanks

It looks like a dvojnice. There are a lot of double whistles from the Balkans, so there might be other (but similar) names for it.

Thanks Frank. They did say it was from the Balkans. It's really well made and seems to play very well. Where can I learn more about dvojnice? Including its pronunciation.

"Dvojnice" seems to be a generic term, among others, for Balkan double pipes (both fippled and reeded). It's pronounced "dvoy-neets-eh".
