Interesting; I’ve got a Yamaha treble and it’s a swine for clogging up, I sort of assumed it was me. Aulos symphony you say? Might have to have a look at one of them ...

I bought 4 of the translucent Yamahas back in the day for the GF's kids and myself. They didn't have the most consistent internal intonation. Two were fine, and two were off on a couple notes. For a plaything, they're fine, but you might have to try a few to get a good one. Maybe some colors are better than others; it's been a few years.

- Tell us something.: I've been trying to learn the recorder for about 5 years now and want to add a new instrument (tin whistle) to my repertoire. I hope with only 6 holes life will be a bit easier... (John Sheahan's Marino Casino in the Gaiety theatre has something to do with it - whereas my head knows that 40 years of practice is the reason why it sounds so good, I'm still hoping...)

I'd recommend it, the switch solved my problem. Just make sure you get a new Aulos 509B - I had tried an older (used) Aulos 309-E trying to save some money, and it didn't work for me at all.sfmans wrote:Interesting; I’ve got a Yamaha treble and it’s a swine for clogging up, I sort of assumed it was me.
