Well my partner got it for me...I've been practicing a few weeks now and am finally getting somewhere.
The clarinet is a Windsor student Bb and this is Amazing Grace on it. Such a fun instrument!

I used to have a Buffet, but had to give up because I just couldn't get the embouchure anymore.
Love the sound, hope you have a long lasting relationship with yours.

Re: Got myself a clarinet
I'm impressed that you can do this after only a few weeks. My daughter plays clarinets, and I remember it took a while for the kids to get a decent sound out of it, much less an actual song. I would recommend getting an instructor to at least make sure your embouchure is correct so the notes come out without that "stuffiness", and to also teach you about the difference between reeds and mouthpieces, unless you've already done all that, of course. That same daughter also worked for (and still occasionally still works for when she has time) a pro clarinet player who also ended up making his own mouthpieces, and now has a business selling student and pro barrels and mouthpieces for clarinets, so she's also learning the technical aspects of the instruments.

Re: Got myself a clarinet
Ah if I could afford a teacher it would be a piano teacher (my first instrument). But alas it is not to be.

Never on a Sunday.
Clarinet is such fun to play, it invites playing because of its lush sound and dynamics due to being a reed instrument.

Always loved the sound of the late Acker Bilk, master of the low register:
