![]() A couple of similar key systems on different flute types. Top one is a tapered bore body with strait head bottom one is cylindrical body with tapered (parabolic ?) head. Bottom is a lovely deep rosewood colour, top is green, you can probably guess the material. I Think they were both made in France, by the curly G#, the bottom one is marked Lafleur & sons London, but I think this is probably the shop address, rather than maker, but it helps reinforce the French connection. |

Pics of piccs - 5 Rudall Carte 6-key D piccolos. There's a link in the album info to a YT clip using 3 of them. There's basic info about the piccs too. |

My new bamboo flute. I got it from e-bay, maybe someone will recognize the maker? It sounds pleasant, and I like it for practicing and learning how to play a transverse flute. My current experience is only with fipple flutes (whistles and sopilkas). ![]() ![]() |

Here is a Photo of one of my G flutes made by Tony Millyard from Millyard-Molem. I find the Boxwood flute produces a much sweeter tone than the Blackwood version. http://members.webs.com/manageapp/photos/photo?photoid=192086372 http://members.webs.com/manageapp/photos/photo?photoid=192086373 http://members.webs.com/manageapp/photos/photo?photoid=192086377 |
