Hi folks

Just wanted to let you know about some workshops I'm doing next month. As part of the "TradFolk" weekend (11th-13th May in Wiston Lodge near Biggar, Scotland) there will be adult workshops on flute, along with sessions, ceilidhs and general music chat and socializing. It is a residential weekend and the price of £160 includes food and accommodation as well as tuition.

If you would like to know more please email me: peterdwebster@me.com or visit the (very basic) site which has a little more info (scroll to the bottom to download the flyer as a pdf):

Thanks
Peter

Having met, and played in sessions with Peter at Hammy's flute gathering a couple of weeks back, I'd like to recommend this course to any flute players thinking of going. I'd go myself, but unfortunately can't make it on that particular weekend. Best of luck for the weekend, Peter.

Thanks Kenny, it was great to meet you properly and get some tunes. I hear you had fun in Cork on the way home. I'll need to stay until the Monday next time. It was a great few days anyway.

Cork was good - a great birthday and a superb rounding off of the whole event.

Hope to see you next year and good luck with the workshop.

Chris.

I am very excited to announce that the brilliant flautist Niall Kenny will be a special guest at the weekend. I'll be "interviewing" him (informal chat/discussion interspersed with a few tunes) about the flute in Scotland, and he'll also be doing a workshop on the Saturday afternoon.

Here's a wee clip:

Thanks,

Hi all,

Just thought I'd drop a quick note to thank Peter for a fantastic weekend of music and craic. The workshops were excellent, really cool, happy tunes, fun to learn, and it was great to meet up with Niall and get a few nice tunes.

The sessions were plentiful and at a great pace for all. The ceili was brilliant and as for the post ceili ping-pong.....you'll have to come along next year to find out.

Looking forward to the next one,
Cheers,
Martin.

Hi

Just wanted to let people know that following on from the success of the residential weekend in Wiston Lodge earlier this year I have decided to run a day of workshops in Glasgow on Saturday 25th August. The day will mirror the friendly and relaxed spirit of the weekend, consisting of workshops on wooden flute, communal meals and sessions.

The schedule is as follows;
10.30 - 13.00 Workshop
13.00 - 14.00 Lunch
14.00 - 16.00 Workshop
17.00 - 19.00 Communal Meal
19.00 - 21.00 Session

More information on location, costs, and an online booking form can be found at http://www.peter-webster.co.uk/tradfolk

Thanks
Peter
