After a tune or 3, is it normal for drool to come dribbling out of the end of the whistle?

Any suggestions other than slapping the thing on my leg to clean it out?

yup. That's about what happens, or at least to me. You might want to get a cleaning rod, to clean out your flute after you are done playing. Using a cleaning rod is more effective than slapping your flute on your leg. That's one way to enliminate some of the drool. Good luck and happy fluting.
