If you read David Migoya's reply to who's king of the hill you can understand why it's good to have two, three,or four flutes, maybe more. That way you can cover the sweet,thin,full,edgy,etc.sound.I'm going to print out his reply and show it to my wife if she ever finds out how many flutes
I have.

Or if I don't tell her first! So which one can I play for about two weeks or so---hummmm eubiedubie?

It's to protect you--you know. I'm doing this for your own good. You could end up being Benny Hill if Peg finds out.
