I am selling a flute made by G. French (between 1840 and 1860) in London. I bought it from Larry Nugent about 14 years ago and it did well for me then, but I haven't needed it for quite a while, so it'd be great if someone could keep it alive. It's not in mint condition: the top of block for the short "f" key has come off, so the pin doesn't stay in. There was a crack filled in in the barrel. Other than that, though, it's not a bad flute at all. The low c and c# keys are pewter plugs but actually work! The low C especially is quite nice and stable. I will entertain any offers starting with about $1200.00.

Don't know the seller and I haven't seen the one that's for sale but I have one myself by George French (without the knocks), 19 Laystall St, Gray's Inn Lane. it's a lovely 'Rudall' type of flute, very nice indeed, would be a good buy for someone at that price if it's similar.
