It's a Grinter, a Rudall style flute. It's got a two piece body, and you can see it if you're looking for it. The volume seems about right, the flute isn't really all that much louder, it's just getting picked up better by the camera.

Yeah I got it right  I feel cool now 8)
:D

Not on YT, sorry, but should be publicly visible on Facebook, 6 clips from the Tutors' pre-session recital at last weekend's Berkenhage Flute Weekend: posted on the Event "wall" or in my own FB video album. Jean-Michel Veillon and Paul McGrattan, separately and together.

I really loved the pace of this set by Kevin Crawford and Martin Hayes. Nice, easy flow.

A gem of a video (at 46 min. in length) from Tubbercurry 2001, recently posted, mostly featuring the playing of Brendan Mulholland. This clip is 2nd of 5 parts. This one rates converting to MP3 and loading on the ole ipod.
Enjoy!

First tune I know of as McKenna's. Kevin taught it at a class I was in one time. Second one is on their new album...can't recall the name.

Am I the only one that thinks this is not his best performance? It's not really flowing to me...

I've been talking in some other threads about possibilities for really unusual music for early flutes. I've been enjoying the music of this duo a tremendous amount, and I bet some other people would too. Not quite the flute you were expecting, but it counts.

An English hornpipe played on a Billy Miller Bb bamboo flute.

Lovely little tune on a lovely little bamboo flute. I've got to ask, Jim...what is the padding between the fingers? I assume it helps with some uncomfortableness of some sort or something? Keeps the fingers spread?
