From a party over the weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTj-h6eCKd8 I usually play that set of tunes a bit faster but I had had a few drinks and that slowed me down! There is a mistake here and there and the rhythm is shaky in some spots but overall it isn't too bad. Figured I'd post it cause I haven't put up any clips in a long time.

Matt Molloy and Michael Tubridy:

I think it's surprising that Michael sounds louder than Matt.

I think that has to be the camera angles. I played in a session with Michael Tubridy recently, and regrettably he wasn't very loud. (I was louder, and trust me, I don't want to hear myself play when Michael Tubridy's around...)

Well, nowdays he's much older than in 1984, it's more difficult for an old man to keep a strong blow. Or maybe it's just the camera...

This fiddle&flute video with Kevin Crawford, Dylan Foley, Josh Dukes and Shannon Dunne (dancing) has only 100views. I think it deserves more than that!

Fintan Vallely plays a slow air (not the same video already posted), and is joined by Sheena Vallely (the only video of her I've ever seen) for two fast reels: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAiD4SiH ... re=mh_lolz

Interesting that the lady is playing a German flute, with (maybe) 12 keys..!

Hey, thanks for posting that one! Fintan Vallely has a very distinctive style. I really like it!

I'd like to learn that last reel. I believe its "Brian Gibson's Rockforest", composed by Fintan himself? Does anyone have any sheet music or abc for that one? I learn by ear, mostly, but I'm still training my ear and sometimes having a visual sketch of the tune it helps that process along. Thanks!
