Chiff and Fipple Forums

I'm new at flutes, and I read somewhere
that articulation on celtic flutes is done
with glottal stops, not tonguing.
Is this true? If so, why?

Also I know what double and triple
tonguing are on the whistles--is
it the same on the flute? Thanks
