Hi all. I want to start flute playing in earnest. Have played some homemade PVC flutes, but want to get a decent instrument. Any recommendations? I'd like to stay under $100 to start with..thanx in advance.

He will quiet you in His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing."

I've heard the Patrick Olwell bamboo is not only a good beginner's instrument but also a superb value for any player. He is supposed to be searchable by google, but I know there is a reference to him with a phone number on the flute page of this site.
