Hi,
I am selling a shakuhachi that
is tuned to a D diatonic scale.
Shakuhachi maker David Mason, who
makes cast bore shakuhachis sold
this to me. It is has conical bore,
and the intonation is really good.
It has six finger holes along the top
of the flute and is tuned to a straight
major scale, like a simple system flute.
It formerly had a thumb hole on the
underside of instrument which David plugged
to make the fingering more standard.
It is a pleasing sounding instrument and
offers some unusual timbral possibilities.
Price $100. Please contact me at johnwh@cisco.com if interested. Thanks.
