Windonthebay.com Launched! Registration Open.

Post by rhodeirish »

Greetings,

I just wanted to pop in and announce the creation of Windonthebay.com -- the official Web site for the 2nd Annual Wind on the Bay Flute Symposium (October 3-5, East Greenwich, RI). Here's the complete link:
http://www.windonthebay.com/

All the information on instructors, classes, concerts & sessions, schedules, lodging, and registration is current and online. So, swing by and have a look.

If you have any questions regarding the event, fire off an email to Skip Healy at skip@skiphealy.com . Anything Web site related to should go to me at jharvey@johndharvey.com .

I hope you're all doing great and I'll be seeing a few of you in October!

Take care,
John Harvey

Yep. I missed the ones over the summer and I'm very glad Skip has this one in the fall.

You better believe I'll be there!
I missed last years - and as I recall, the reports were all favorable!

I'm looking at the list of B&B's on the website, anybody have any suggestions?

Walking distance would be great.

All of them are within walking distance, but I think the 1873 is the closest. Be best to go to the closest one as stumbling down the hill could end you up in the harbor

Cool, thanks.

Hills? Nobody said there be hills. Having grown up and still living on a coastal plain, countours in the landscape always throw me for a loop.

Hi Everybody,

I just want to cover a few things about my upcoming Wind On The Bay flute clinic.

If you're looking for lodging that is within walking distance to the event then the 1873 House would be the choice, as Brad suggested. I also want to let you all know that we have a special deal at the Best Western in West Greenwich where they're giving us a discount on a block of rooms. FYI, it's not within walking distance but it's a good deal.

There is also a possibility that if enough people choose to stay at the Best Western then the hotel will supply a shuttle to and from WOTB.

Another detail that I want to make everyone aware of is that we are limiting attendance to 40 students. We're doing this to make sure that WOTB keeps that cozy, friendly reputation that we earned last year. At the moment, we already have ten people registered and several more expressing interest in coming.

So, if you'd like to go then I suggest registering as soon as you can.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me at skip@skiphealy.com or visit http://www.windonthebay.com/ .

All the best,

Well, maybe not.
I'm wimping out.
Started Boehm flute lessons a couple of months ago and I'm finding it hard to work on both simultaneously.
Plus, in all honesty, i'm chickens**t. I need to be quite a bit better before I can get the most out the workshops.
Maybe next year.

I've only been playing for a year and to my thinking, this workshop is ideal. Meet lots of interesting people and get many pointers and play. Besides, it looks like there's a good selection of courses to cover most levels.
Hope you change your mind!
