Does anyone have recommendations for sources of recorded music, particularly on some of the Irish labels? Chris Laughlin mentioned the "Knotted Chord" on an earlier posting, and that looks quite comprehensive - I wondered what others are out there, and what kind of prices and service people have experienced.

Hi David,
Man I love your flute!!! Seriously, what a beautiful instrument. Anyways, you might also check out Custy's Music, also in Ennis, Co. Clare at http://www.custysmusic.com. Ossian USA is always a good bet for hard to find music, though it's a bit expensive. There's a wonderful man by the name of Ted McGraw who runs an Irish music radio station out of Buffalo, NY. He's the regional chair of Comhaltas and he has one of the largest collections of Irish recordings in the country. He specializes in restoring old recordings and putting them onto CD and he'd probably be more than happy to put together some CDs of old stuff for you if you asked nicely and told him who you are. You can find his website at http://mickweb.com/tedmcgraw/ or e-mail him at mcgraw@netacc.net . Hopes this helps.
Best,
Chris
