WIDesigner

Post by bansuri »

So far i have used the Mark Shepard percentages ratio for marking out flute hole positions on my pvc flutes and obtained reasonably good results.
A software called WIDesigner is available to calculate the flute dimension.
I have tried to install this with little result.
Are there any simplified instructions available anywhere for non technical people on how to install this software.

Have you watched the installation video at http://youtu.be/nDlKJURdHfw ?

What platform are you trying to install it on (Windows, Mac, Linux)?

In general, you will need to:

- Download and install Java from https://www.java.com/en/download/

- Download the WIDesigner zip file from https://github.com/edwardkort/WWIDesign ... ses/latest

- Copy the contents of the zip file to a folder on your disk drive.

Once you've done that, you should be able to start WIDesigner by double-clicking on the WIDesigner-2.6.0.jar file in the new folder.

Let me know how it goes.
