Thibouville ring key Boehm

Post by plamas »

#2 in the Solar Panel Project is this wooden conical bore ring key Boehm flute. Although nominally of interest to classical players, it's an absolutely ideal flute for the Boehm system player who wants to experience the wooden cone bore sound without changing fingering.
It's eBay item # 325790069295

I'm with you, I think that such a flute (if it does indeed have a good tone) would be a perfect "Irish flute" for those wanted to keep the Boehm fingerings.

But I wouldn't buy a flute without playing it first.
