FS: Sam Murray Boxwood Keyless — Sale pending

Post by Steve Bliven »

Offering for sale a lovely Sam Murray Boxwood Keyless flute.

Reluctantly selling for a number of reasons: I could really use the funds, I have the proverbial "too many flutes", and am playing a keyed instrument that I really love. So..., sadly, something has to go. This one plays nicely with great tone and intonation. Mr. Murray really could make a fine instrument. This is not one of the recent "maybe Sam Murray" instruments that have popped up.

It comes in a plastic pistol case. Not elegant but very protective. For elegance, it also comes with two end caps — the original boxwood one and a sterling silver version for those After Six gigs. I'm told by a previous owner (the cap came from a different flute) that the cap was made by Chris Abell, but I can't verify that. In any case, it would add a touch of class to your session or performance.

Price is a firm $1350 with the case and shipping in the US. Happy to answer any questions.

More information is available here from a previous sale.

Contact via either PM or email through the "Contact" button on the right.

Best wishes and thanks for looking.

Steve
