Tell us something.: I would like to sell my wonderful wooden Rudall Flute, made by Tom Aebi. It's new, wonderful looking with an extraordinary sound. I bought it not knowing I was to start struggling sadly with arteriose (I'm 70), so...
It's an unbeatable price for the time being (about half of the catalogue price at Tom's).

greets y'all from Switzerland...

I have to (being 70 with growing artritis) sell my new Rudall bux wood flute from flute maker Tom Aebi
https://www.aebi-flutes.com/index.php/d ... l-d-floete

obviously it is keyed (slick mecanics!). Great manufacture. Sounds fantastic. Looks great. Feels good. A treat!

I'd want 2'500 Euro (and it remains a gift!)

best

Out of interest, is the flute keyed?

Following the link to the maker's homepage -- it looks like he only makes keyed flutes.

Not true. But it is true that the website's content makes it appear (unintentionally, I'm sure) as if Aebi only makes his D Rudalls and Prattens fully keyed. The reality is hard to assess.

Not for those of us who own a keyless Aebi :P

Of course we could all be living in a simulation...... Damn those Red and Blue pills, I can never remember which one (or more) I’ve taken.

I tried both, once. I was taken aback.

But where are my manners? Welcome to C&F, Fizze. :)

Looks like he's edited the OP. I assume he means the flute has eight keys.

If that's a reference to PayPal Friends and Family (?), it's against PayPal terms and doesn't provide buyer or seller protection.

Edit: If, on the other hand, you simply mean you think the flute is a bargain at that price, I apologise for the misunderstanding!

Yes, I think he means the latter. It's a German expression "Das ist geschenkt" -- "It's a gift" for meaning "it's a bargain."

On the other hand, the word gift in German means poison. (Probably not what the seller intends.)

Already cleared up by private communication (hence my edit); I just left my original words up in case anyone else misunderstood like I did.

I don't know German but I do play an Aebi keyed flute, the Rudall version, and it's wonderful. Very good intonation, easy to play with a solid bottom D.
