Book-spine flute poetry....

Post by Terry McGee »

I asked Jesse whatever was she up to. Stacking books on the table, then restacking them in different combinations, and finally taking an image. "Book-spine poetry", she revealed, and read out her current creation. It sounded well.

I then quipped that it would be more challenging to try it on some of the books in my office. So she did....

"A word or two on the flute -
the flute, the flute, the flute,
the flute, the flute, the flute.
Measured Tones."

One day someone will write a book about flutes using a different title....

Given the narrow range of opportunities offered by the titles of flute books, perhaps a more profitable approach would be to create poetry from tune titles.

Where could we go from "I Buried My Wife And Danced On Her Grave..."
