My new Copley & Boegli F flute is a gas!

Post by roj »

Built (mostly) by Alan Copley in delrin, I knew I was missing out, but I had no idea how much. I'll admit my playing time is non-trad, mostly accompanying movie and t.v. soundtracks. Up until now, I had been attempting this with only a D flute. I had mentioned in an earlier post that this new F flute had doubled my playing time. Boy, was I off. It has at least quadrupled or more. Some evenings it barely leaves my hands. A week or so ago, I played along with Sammy Davis, Jr. in "A Man Called Adam" (on TCM) for the entire movie, and right after that with Kirk Douglas in "Man With A Horn". Both movies were entirely in F or Bb. Talk about getting some practice in! And having a ball in the meantime...
