Why would anyone want a sick flute? It’s sick
Virus ridden?
Broken?
Did you repair it?
I don't get it.

- Tell us something.: I have a keen interest in wooden flutes (modern and antique), early music (Renaissance, Baroque), Romantic music and Irish Traditional Music of course! I also play the clarinet (my first instrument) and I've also started learning the cittern.

Hofstadter's Law: It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.

I believe it's awesome, but 750 pounds.
I'm still trying to find an affordable f marching flute. I think there should be options, it's pity that "generation" don't produce Fs. If all the rest failes, I will get a Bb marching flute.

A question to Miller Browne owners.
Wtb: 5 or 6 keys?
Is A=440? If not, does the tuning slide help?

Re: Wtb an F flute
All I can say is that they seem to sell a lot of them, many people seem to use/have them, but it is a marching band flute. I have no personal experience, but have been contemplating buying one myself.cavefish wrote: Are they good flutes

Re: Wtb an F flute
Yeah, that is exactly the one i have, but glossy. It's chromatic, but the Fs are sharp, so you have to blow it down, that is tricky ( the trickiest part is to stop pressing the air on the notes around Fs). The sound is quite strong, i expected it to be weaker.
Over all, I can recommend that flute to anyone who needs all the semitones and doesn't want to spend a fortune. Cheers.
