Unclaimed Sweetheart Flute Endcap

Post by Ben Shaffer »

Well I was cleaning out my Desk Drawer and came across a Flute End cap.
I must have owned the companion Flute to this End Cap years ago, but don't recall.
It's sad that this End cap is languishing in my Drawer when it could possible be reunited with the Flute it came from.
I can tell you a few things about this End cap....
The outer circumference is 1 Inch
The inner part of the Plug's circumference is about 3/4 of an inch.
That said I'm thinking the End cap is not from a Low D flute, but more than likely is from an F,G or A
I've had a number of Sweetheart Flutes and I believe this End cap comes from one of his.
On the inner end it says 68
The Wood to the best of my knowledge is likely Walnut, maybe Mahogany or even Cherry.
The Twine wrapped around it is that Red Stuff Ralph used.
I will be glad to send this End cap to the person that has the matching Flute
I could get in touch with the Gentleman that bought Ralph's Business, but for the time being I'm just going to post this here
I know this is a bit of a long shot to find the Owner of the Flute this End cap came from but ya never know
