This year, the Edinburgh "FluteFling" is returning to Portobello.
Sessions on Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday early afternoon.
A days' instruction from tutors Claire Mann, Rebecca Knorr and Munro Gauld.
The "FluteFling" is supporting a Saturday evening concert by "The Cathal McConnell Trio".
The "FluteFling" also welcomes players of both "soprano" and "low" whistles.

14:00-15:30 approx: (Meet outside the venue prior to 14.00) guided tour of the flutes and other historic instruments at the collection at St Cecilia’s Hall (by appointment, free) 50 Niddry St, Edinburgh EH1 1LG Numbers limited, contact Gordon if interested.
20:30 – 12:00am approx Free open session at The Dalriada, Address: 77 Promenade, Edinburgh EH15 2EL dalriadabar.co.uk
Saturday
Workshops (times may change)
For the workshops, the numbers will be divided into three and each group will have time with each tutor over the course of the day.

18:30-19:45 (doors open 18.00: Cathal McConnell Trio in concert. Please note that unfortunately there will no longer be a bar at this event, however there are a number of good off licences nearby and it is possible to bring your own drink to the venue.

In the past a few of us have gathered here informally before heading around the corner to Sandy Bells. You are welcome to join us as you wish.
12.30-15:30: Farewell session at Sandy Bell’s Bar. Free. All welcome. Always a relaxed affair with good acoustics. 25 Forrest Rd, Edinburgh EH1 2QH https://www.sandybells.co.uk
There are then other options to remain in Sandy Bells, go on to The Waverley Bar or Malones Bar for the regular Sunday afternoon sessions that take place in those venues.
