Has Harry McGowan ever been recorded commercially? If so, name(s) of the recording(s) please.

Thanks and best wishes.

This discussion on The Session has some recordings, mostly single tracks on compilation albums:

Thanks David and Bigscotia. I've ordered the CD from the Coleman Centre and pulled a couple of cuts off compilation CDs I have. There are several things on YouTube and Vimeo also. Once upon a time there were sites that allowed you to download audio from videos but nowadays they all seem to lead to lichen or malware sites.

Best wishes.

I remember those web sites. Not necessary these days, if you use software that can access audio at the lower system level.

To record audio from YouTube videos I use the free/open source Audacity program, available for Windows, macOS/OS X and Unix. There is a setting for audio input called "loopback" that records whatever is running through the audio hardware. Works fine for YouTube, I assume it would work for Vimeo too. You just hit Record in Audacity before the video starts (might want to pre-load the clip so it buffers), then use Audacity to trim the heads and tails, and save as .wav, .mp3, or whatever format you want.
