Dixon keyless flute (& piccolo)

I've got used to the hole spacing on my regular low 'D' flutes now, so find the offset holes a little strange now, but when I first got it, it was easier.

The Damian Thompson delrin has a lovely tone to it, the equal of the Tony Dixon 3 piece, if not slightly better, but close.

The hole spacing of the DT is quite close, about a quarter of an inch less to the bottom hole, of the lower 3, compared to the TD ABS one piece, & about the same quarter of an inch closer on the top 3 holes, (allowing that they were merely moved around the tube).

If you struggle with the hole spacing, maybe consider an M&E 'F' flute, they're heavy, but easy to finger.

Thanks for the info. Can you do me a huge favor and measure the overall stretch (from the middle of the holes) for the top 3 and bottom 3 holes on the Thompson? Just for comparison - I built a flute myself which is comfy for me to play, which has 7 cm for the top holes and 6.3 for the bottom hand. I can play that one all day (or until my thumbs start hurting. lol).

Distance between DT (offset) hole centres, top 3 = 7.3cm, lower = 7cm.

Thanks so much! Thats seems quite a stretch for the right hand. You might have saved me from spending money on a flute I will probably not play. I prefer the "standard" flute grip as piper's grip on a flute forces my wrist into an awkward position. (My Angus flute has 6.5 cm for the right hand and is very comfy to play, but just a few millimeters more and my hand starts hurting rather quickly)
