Micahel Copeland Flute

Post by artsygirl »

I am selling 2 flutes on eBay.

Flute #1,
Michael Copeland Irish Tunable D Rosewood Flute

Made by Michael Copeland (stamped "M.C. #130"), rosewood, keyless. Responsive, sweet-toned, ready to play. Possibly based on a Rudall original (no other information available at this time.) Michael Copeland is a notable flute and tin whistle maker.

Flute #2,
David M. Quinn Blackwood Tunable Keyed Flute with Brass Headjoint

Made by David M. Quinn, blackwood flute w/brass headjoint, 7 keys. This flute needs re-padding and possibly some work cleaning the springs of the keys to realize its full potential. Sold as is. Still a bargain price for a keyed Irish flute, even with needed maintenance work. Keys are C natural, B flat, G sharp, long F natural, E flat, low C sharp, low C natural. David Quinn is a noted uilleann pipe maker who made a half-dozen or so of these flutes as an experiment in the 1980s. Based on a Rudall body and bore with a Boehm-style headjoint. The flute does not have a maker's mark or number.
