Don't know how to bump, so I'm reposting the for sale thingy.

Have recently had it repadded, and it's now ready for sale, again.

I am situated in Ballydangan, between Ballinasloe and Athlone, as is the flute.

Chas was interested in this, but I've lost all my contacts, with my iPhone dying a dismal death.

Hello, I'm interested in this flute if it's still up for sale! Is there anyway you could post a picture on here as I'm unable to access the facebook link?

Hannah, these links should take you to Adverts.ie

The shots are not great, but the flute has since been to Hammy, for padding, springing, and corking.
you are welcome to come and see it anytime, as I said, I'm between Ballinasloe/Athlone

Interesting post key arrangement, there. That Bb.

Kevin, the position of the Bb key, would be a throwback to my days as a closet clarinetist.
(1960, a whole other half century ago)

Or maybe you are thinking of the cute little cutaway to allow for the C bar ?

Both. I have a block-mounted Hammy 6-key, thus pretty conventional, and no low C & C#, so no fancy foot key arrangement necessary.

And this head joint is quite special too... Why is it so long after the last ring? Counterweight? This G# "à la française" is probably very confortable too.

Good luck for your sale...

Matt, I got Hammy to make the head joint extra long, for resting ON the shoulder.
You will see the great and the good, when playing, putting the flute INTO the shoulder, maybe when tired.

I have understood well, from my clarinet days, the importance of good air flow, and while I don't play flute in the standard, up on the chin mode, at least when it's on the shoulder, there's a better air flow, than when the head is tucked down, into the shoulder.

This flute is still for sale.

Offers will be entertained

Did I mention I need the money for a concertina ?

A swop would also be entertained.
you have a Concertina 30- 30 + button, you no longer play ?
I have an 8 key Hammy I no longer play.
