Tell us something.: I mainly play folk flutes -- ocarinas, recorders, tin whistles, and the like, though I used to play sax.

Value of Milligan flute from 1770s--1820s

Post by BobbieCB »

I have a Milligan flute made in London between the 1770s and 1820s. It's boxwood, probably in Eb.

It's similar to the one pictured in this list -- http://www.music-treasures.com/antflupi.htm

Any idea how I can place a value on it or get a price for it?

Thank you.

There is a Milligan flute available at one of the Hobgoblins (POA)

It may give you an idea but Hobgoblins flute prices are always inflated and there stock rarely sells quickly as a result.

Best to provide photos, sounding length, condition here and ask for offers or put on eBay.
