Question about j. Gallagher flute

Post by jim stone »

Does anybody know (more or less) the price of a new John Gallagher
eight-key small holed Rudall, blackwood?

He has taken the prices down from his website, but the last time he had them up an 8-key Rudall or Pratten was $4200 I believe.

Thanks. The flute I'm talking about is one I own, but I'm going to sell it. In fact JG just refurbished it, so it's in top order. He's sometimes hard to reach on the phone and by e mail, at least I've had some trouble, so I was wondering about his waiting list. As you doubtless have guessed I'm considering a price. I'm selling it because it's too heavy for my aging left wrist (I'll be 75 this month). I'm going to sell it through the Irish Flute Store. Thanks again.
