Orstralians! A new session and an Irish music weekend....

Post by Terry McGee »

We’re getting well into the festival season here in sunny Australia, but unfortunately, most festivals don’t offer enough in the way of session opportunities. Enough for the likes of us, anyway….

So, here in south coast NSW we’ve decided to do something about it. Firstly we’ve started a regular session, first Friday of every month at the Steampacket Hotel in the little township of Nelligen, 10Km up the Kings Highway from Batemans Bay.

And secondly, we’re inviting you to an Irish Music weekend, at the same place, on the weekend starting on Friday 24 March. You’ll find the details of both at:

https://thesession.org/sessions/6151
and…..
https://thesession.org/events/6740

Hope to see you at one, the other, or both!

And please tell your friends!

Tell us something.: I'm interested in 19th and early 20th century wooden flutes. And Renaissance flutes. And also techniques for whistles.
Location: Sydney, Australia

I will endeavour to make my way to the Irish Music weekend! :)
'...I want to warn you that playing the flute is impossible for those who have no tongue, for all notes must be led by the tongue; therefore, those of you who take pleasure in playing the flute should guard your tongue against mould, which is to say, drink often.'
