CD Review - Klaired - Ladérive

Post by Concertinaplayer »

Hi

I'm making a discography of non mere Irish flute player so, I think, It'd be interesting to share the listening feeling (I didn't find a review of this CD in the forum)
Yesterday I recived the Klaired's CD - Ladérive (http://www.klaired.com/). I discovered this group in the Lesouef's web site where there was their very beatiful video clip O'Lof https://youtu.be/ybWkxBTQi9w
In my opinion It's a very beatiful CD where the wooden flute covers a very important part but doesn't surpass the harp, the other main instrument and a beatiful rhythmic rug comlpletes the sound.
The two players/singers, both named Claire Audrey, create a very interesting tracks list (breton/irish/songs) where a traditional folk playing style switchs often with a very interesting jazz style.
The flute is played in gentle mode and it allows to understand the potential of our instrument.
In my personal opinion, this is a raccomended purchase (Klaired are also very kind in the e-mail exchange)
