FS: Olwell D Flute (Pratten)

Post by iwilson »

Hi All,

I have another Olwell flute for sale (somehow I've managed to accumulate 4 of them
over the years!).

Its the Pratten model, tuning slide, and fully-lined head. The pratten has slightly larger
holes that the Nicholson model so is noticibly louder! (I use a pipers grip with my right-hand,
so sometimes I cant quite cover all the hole when playing E or F#.)

Its in very good condition. The number is 1015. Bought from Nick Bulloss (Hi Nick!)
about 3 years ago, who got it new in 2009. Comes with a Northwind case. There are
some photos here:

I'm looking £1150 plus postage and Paypal fees for it. (thats GB pounds). Payment
by Paypal or direct bank transfer. If interested, email me at ianw at pobox dot com
(replace the 'at' and 'dot' with @ and .)

Thanks
Ian

PS. Postage would be approx £26 within Europe if uninsured, or £85 if insured to full
value (est. from http://www.parcel2go.com).

Bump ... and £50 reduction. Will accept £1000 plus postage now.

Looming redundancy means owning three Olwell flutes isnt prudent :-(

Thanks

Hi Ian,
I was wondering about if you have a 6 keys Olwell to sell/trade. I have an Hammy wich I feel fantasticly, but I'd rather have an Olwell because I prefer a little more the tone. The Hammy is pretty new and powerful, but it suits fantasticly exclusively with piper grip on the right I think.
About the trade I was thinking about adding you a bit of money + the Hammy 6 keyed blackwood flute made 2 years ago.
Greetings,
G
