FS: Ross/Gruar Northumbrian Smallpipes in D SOLD

Post by tommyk »

I'm selling a hybrid set of Northumbrian smallpipes in the key of D.

The drones and bellows are Colin Ross. Each of the four drones has a tuning bead: D/E, A/B, d/e, a/b.
They are in African blackwood with plastic mounts and silver plated metal work.
These would cost 850 pounds sterling plus shipping new. It is about one year old.

The chanter is a 7-key D chanter by Philip Gruar. Also African blackwood and silver plate with plastic mounts. It matches the Ross drones perfectly.
This cost 500 pounds plus shipping one year ago.

This has just been fettled and hooked up with a new bag and bag cover by Mike Sharp.

So, including shipping, this would be US$ 2500 (I calculated in error in my post in the Used Instruments Exchange section).
Asking $1600.

If you would like the pipes case, from Colin Ross, I would ask an additional $100.

Buyers overseas, be prepared to spend an extra $300 on shipping; costs for overseas shipping have increased dramatically of late.

Nice way to get into a D NSP set to try it out without spending full price.

I will move this to eBay if I get no bites.
