Sackpipa question

Post by pigwhistle »

Could anyone please tell me if the amount of pressure required on the bag of a Sackpipa is less/softer than what is required on Scottish Smallpipes, if so is it just a bit less or quite a bit less, and also would this change if the Sakpipa were mouth blown or bellows blown. Thanks for reading and hopefully answering.
David.

Tell us something.: Searching around th 'net for tips on making swedish flutes and bagpipes, I found that this seem to be the most (only?) active forum remaining. Hoping to make some new friends and have fun with my tools making beautiful instruments and learning to play them.

I'm afraid I have no idea about your question, but will be watching with interest because the Swedish pipes are the main reason I joined this forum.
