It's her new passion. She tends to go from one thing to the next so I put off buying one for her, but an old 20 key anglo which a friend was willing to lend fell into my lap. Truth be told - it's kind of a lemon - but the price was right (free) and she's willing to overlook it's shortcomings (tends to have keys stick and the low F# honks like a sick goose) but she still practices on it and even sleeps with it like a teddy bear. As long as daddy can wrangle the keys loose and tape up the leaks.

I'll be getting her something better in the near future, so don't yell at me.

She's been watching youtube videos of Edel Fox's OAIM lessons and soaking them up quickly.

Which book would you recommend for my situation?

BTW - I am familiar with the ins and outs of Irish trad, I know I can't get it all from a book, but as a teacher of other instruments I've found some books are great and others are misleading. I know personal lessons are the best route and I know a few people who may give lessons, but they are all around and hour and a half's drive from my home.

Concertina tutors specifically written for Irish music are a bit thin on the ground I am afraid. There have been a few DVD efforts.

This is a new book, I don't know if it's any good.
