We have some evidence, however, that you may have to pay for the reeds.

Wonderful! Have you been to Tilikum before? It's a gorgeous place.

Nope, never. It's about a 2 hour drive from me, so I'll have a nice road trip out of it too! I don't know the week's schedule yet do I don't know what time I'm supposed to get there.

I've been going to Noel's classes for quite some time at the East Coast and Mid West venues - even the first few years at Bucksteep & Pete Gibbons' house - and the normal arrival routine is that nothing formal happens on Sunday other than dinner. Of course, most folks show up in mid afternoon to settle in, greet old friends/make new ones, ogle new concertinas, and the like. Classes kick off on Monday about "half 9" if not earlier on account of class sizes, and after the introductory "newbie solo performances", everybody is divided into their respective ability levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) for the remainder of the week. Each group meets twice a day with new tunes assigned at each class period -- with lots of practice time in between.

I have found that the annual NHICS classes really re-charge my ITM batteries and give me a wealth of new music to learn and enjoy over the intervening winter. Noel is an excellent and patient teacher. You'll have a grand time and learn a lot.

I've been twice previously to his West coast workshops in Newberg, Oregon, looking forward to the week!
