3QSWiFi and 4QSWiFi - WiFi MIDI Uilleann Pipes Controllers

I've adapted the 3QuarterSet and 4QuarterSet apps to become wireless MIDI controllers, sending the control data over WiFi to your PC or Mac, where the data can be sent to software or hardware synthesizers, or recorded in a MIDI sequencer. These are designed for someone who is already familiar with the use of control surfaces, MIDI routing, and VST style software synthesizers.

If you are already familiar with 3QuarterSet or 4QuarterSet, these applications are played exactly the same way, but the sound will be produced by the hardware or software MIDI sequencer connected to the networked computer, not by the iPhone/iPod Touch itself.

Both apps requires two pieces of software to do its job. The first is the 3QSWiFi or 4QSWiFi app itself, running on your iPhone or iPod Touch.

The other is a small free open-source DSWiFiMIDI server application that you run on your PC or Mac before launching 3QSWiFi.

The server application receives the MIDI messages from the app via WiFi, and sends them along to either an external MIDI interface or a loopback MIDI driver to talk to software synthesizers running on the same computer.

For more generic use, there is also Miditina, a concertina-style wireless MIDI control surface, with several generic (chromatic, numeric, etc.) layout options for those who don't play concertina and just need a bunch of buttons to trigger events. The app also supports realtime control of volume, expression, etc. via tilting the device:
