Anticipation

Post by scheky »

So, my Morse Ceili arrives today. I nearly took the day off "sick" to stay home and wait for it. ARRRRRRGH!

Does anybody else get like this?

Nearly? You mean you're at work? And your new concertina is going to be sitting there on your doorstep waiting for you to get home? Good lord, man, it could be there RIGHT NOW. What on earth are you thinking? Clearly you're not well. Take the rest of the day off.

I'm imagining a dance where the caller only uses a signaling key.

Hey, that's a great key! The J-38 was made during WW2 by the Lionel train company (yes, that Lionel) and was available for years as new old stock military surplus. I bought mine in 1966 and it's still going strong today.

Oh, right, concertinas ... :-)
