We have some evidence, however, that you may have to pay for the reeds.

Slide suggestons...

Post by free-feet »

Hi all

I'm looking for suggestions for a couple of slides to go with "Dingle Regatta" on the concertina to make a set.

I learn by ear, so if you could point me to a nice MP3 of any suggested tunes that would be really sweet.

Thanks

Please post some slide suggestions to this thread. I've been wanting to add a slide or so to my tunes for my accordion.

Thanks!

Thank you, Free Feet. I will look for some audio of those slides.

In our summer Irish Session Tunes class we learned some jigs, reels, a slip jig and a highland, but no slides. I felt like I improved my listening skills in this class. Each evening we worked on a tune, piece by piece, then put all the pieces together. The instructor didn't give us the notes until the end of class. This was a challenge, but one I felt was improving my playing all around. Now that classes are over, I'm challenging myself to learn some more tunes just by ear.

Thanks again,
Jenny
