i've been offered a morse c/g concertina (standard model i think) for a good price from someone i've had business with recently - any opinions about a morse?please feel free to offer your experiences with them

The Morse is one of those "hybrids" I mentioned earlier fitted with accordion reeds, made by the Button Box in MA.

They have a good reputation as far as I can tell (take no notice of the fact that "morse" is the French for walrus) but barring a flood of informed opinion from users here, if I were you I would go to the forums at concertina.net where lots of people with Morses or experience of them will be able to guide you.

Yes, concertina.net will be able to best advise.

I took a workshop with Jody Kruskal in Warwick once and he was using a Morse that he had borrowed from the Button Box. He seemed to like it and it had a nice tone. I did get to try it for a few minutes but it was a while ago and I don't really remember that much about it.
